The problem
Strategy set.
Execution
stalled.

Most organisations are not failing at climate ambition. They are failing at climate execution.

The net zero mandate left the boardroom. It encountered a management layer that was never rebuilt to carry it forward. Governance structures that were never redesigned when sustainability targets were added. A leadership population that understands the direction but does not know what to do differently when they leave the room.

This is not a strategy problem. It is a structural execution problem. It has a precise anatomy. And it can be addressed.

The session

What this session is.

A structured facilitated dialogue for senior leaders navigating the gap between sustainability commitment and operational reality. Not a panel. Not a presentation. A practitioner-led conversation that surfaces the real structural mechanisms through which climate execution stalls — and works through what leaders can specifically do to address them.
I
The Diagnosis
Naming the structural failure modes precisely, so the problem is no longer invisible.
II
The Dialogue
Participants surface what they are experiencing. The facilitator responds diagnostically in real time.
III
The Close
Key insights named. A diagnostic conversation offered to anyone who wants to continue.
Who this is for
This session is
for you if:
You lead an organisation, a function, or a team with a sustainability mandate — and you are honest about the distance between the commitment and what is actually changing.
You are responsible for the leadership, communication, or execution capability that the transition requires — and you know that capability is the constraint, not the ambition.
You want a precise, practitioner-led conversation — not inspiration, not frameworks, not another panel on why this matters.

For 18 years, across six continents and institutions including the Council of Europe Development Bank, Rutgers Business School, and a major US philanthropic foundation, the practice has worked at the layer where strategy either lands or does not. Sami is a BMW Foundation Responsible Leaders Fellow since 2012, a Founding Member of the US Department of State's Generation Change initiative, and an Adjunct Professor at EM Normandie Business School.

This session draws directly from active advisory work. Nothing theoretical.
